Nokia 5530 XpressMusic REVIEW , PHOTOS, SPECS, VIEDO & PRICES
The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic is the latest touchscreen-enabled smartphone from the Finnish mobile giant. Slotted under the popular and widely-released 5800 XpressMusic, the 5530 will improve on many of the hallmark features of its predecessor, while coming in at a much lower retail price. The highlights of the 5530 XpressMusic will lie in the enhancements to the homescreen, called the Active Standby screen. This upcoming model will have a contacts bar, to which users will be able to add up to 20 contacts (compared to only four on the 5800) and get a quick view of recent calls and SMS/MMS messages. RSS feeds can also be assigned to these contacts, and the latest post/tweet can be seen from this quick-view.
Other enhancements to this screen will include the ability to have four application shortcuts on the same screen as the contacts bar. With the 5800, this is two separate home screen themes. Lastly, the it will have a larger and more finger-friendly music player widget. This widget will control simple music features in addition to displaying the currently played track.
This smartphone will be a quad-band GSM mobile, but it will only support European and Chinese GSM frequencies. It will also lack mobile broadband, and therefore be limited to only the 2.5G standard EDGE
